Car Mounts Pavement Hitting Pedestrians In Leyland

Two pedestrians have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Leyland earlier today.

Eyewitnesses reported that a silver Mercedes car mounted the pavement on Golden Hill Lane and struck the two pedestrians.

The incident has led to the closure of a significant stretch of the road, between Chapel Brow, Northgate, and Hasting Road.

The extent of the pedestrians’ injuries is currently unknown. Emergency services, including police and ambulance crews, were quickly on the scene to provide assistance and transport the injured individuals to hospital.

Lancashire Police have been contacted for an official statement regarding the incident and the condition of the injured parties.

The collision has caused significant disruption to traffic in the area. Golden Hill Lane remains closed, and motorists are being advised to seek alternative routes and allow extra time for their journeys.
