In connection with the incident, Cleveland Police have arrested two individuals on suspicion of attempted murder.

A 17-year-old boy is also being held on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug, while an 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Both are currently in police custody for questioning.

DI Hollingsworth added that local officers will be conducting house-to-house enquiries and actively patrolling the area to provide reassurance to the community, encouraging anyone with concerns to speak to them.
