Police Continue To Appeal Following Double Stabbing In Manchester

Two teenage males are in hospital with serious injuries following a stabbing incident on Stockport Road in Manchester.

Police were called to the scene at 12:30 PM today, Friday, April 25th, following reports that two males had been stabbed.

Emergency services attended, and two victims, aged 17 and 18, were taken to hospital. Their injuries are described as serious.

At this stage, no arrests have been made, and police have launched extensive enquiries to understand the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Road closures are currently in place along Stockport Road, affecting the junction with Kirkmanshulme Lane and the junction with Birch Lane.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, and police have thanked the public for their patience while the scene remains in place for investigation.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses and information. They are urging anyone who was in the area at the time, anyone with dashcam footage, or anyone who may have crucial information that could assist their investigation to come forward.

Detective Inspector Geoff Machent from the North Manchester district commented on the incident, saying: “We know that news of an incident of this nature will be concerning, especially owing to the ages of those involved.”

He added, “Extensive work is ongoing to identify and locate suspects, and we are working with a range of specialist partners to ensure the victims are safeguarded.

Additional patrols have been deployed to the area whilst we conduct further enquiries, and I would encourage anyone who has any information or concerns, to speak to our officers.”
