A 23-year-old man from Great Eccleston has been charged in connection with a collision on Breck Road in Poulton that occurred in February, Lancashire Police have confirmed.
Frankie Bromley, of West End, Great Eccleston, appeared before Lancaster Magistrates Court today, Friday, April 25th.
He faces charges of section 18 assault causing grievous bodily harm, attempted section 18 assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and dangerous driving.
The charges relate to an incident that occurred at approximately 12:50 am on Sunday, February 16th, when a Ford Transit Van collided with two pedestrians on Breck Road.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital for treatment following the collision. Police have confirmed that he has since been discharged and is continuing his recovery.
Two other men, a 32-year-old from Great Eccleston and a 24-year-old from Blackpool, who were also part of the investigation, have been released without charge.
Lancashire Police have stated that this has been treated as an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the wider public.
