Motorcyclist in His 70s Dies Following Fatal Collision Near Ingleton

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred just south of Ingleton, close to the Lancashire border.

The tragic incident took place at 1:09 PM on Tuesday, April 15th, on the A65 between Whinney Mire Lane and Green Lane, Ingleton.

The collision involved a white Peugeot Partner panel van and a white BMW motorbike.

Emergency services, including police and paramedics, rushed to the scene. Despite the best efforts of members of the public and the emergency responders, the motorcyclist, a man in his 70s, sadly died at the scene.

North Yorkshire Police are currently supporting the man’s family with specially trained officers. Their thoughts are with them during this incredibly difficult time.
The force is now conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the collision and is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have seen either the white Peugeot Partner van or the white BMW motorbike prior to the collision.

In particular, police are appealing to anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the incident and may have captured relevant footage on their dashcam. This footage could prove vital in understanding the events leading up to the collision.
