Local law enforcement dismantled a significant cannabis cultivation operation at a residential property on Alexandra Road in Blackburn this afternoon, thanks to crucial information provided by the community.
Officers from the Blackburn Neighbourhood Policing Team and Task Force executed a drugs warrant at the address, uncovering a substantial number of cannabis plants growing throughout the house.
In a statement released by the police, they humorously noted that the property appeared to have a “problem with weeds,” adding that while they appreciate houseplants, this particular “indoor jungle” was not the kind they wished to see.
