Detectives from Staffordshire Police, working alongside West Midlands Police, are continuing their investigation into a serious collision that occurred at Aston Wood Golf Club in Shenstone yesterday morning (Friday, April 11th).

Police were called to the scene on Blake Street at approximately 10:25 am after a grey Nissan van struck a member of the public. The incident followed a pursuit involving officers from West Midlands Police.

The driver and two passengers of the van fled the scene immediately after the collision and remain at large.

Staffordshire Police are actively pursuing all available lines of inquiry, including the review of CCTV footage, speaking with witnesses, and tracing the movements of the individuals involved in an effort to locate them.

A woman in her 60s sustained serious injuries in the collision and was taken to hospital.

Her condition is currently described as critical but stable, and specialist officers are providing support to her family.

Due to the involvement of West Midlands Police officers prior to the collision, the matter has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), who have commenced their own independent investigation.

Staffordshire Police are appealing to the public for any information that could assist their investigation.

They are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured any relevant footage, such as dashcam or mobile phone recordings, from the area around the time of the collision.

Members of the public with information are urged to submit it through a dedicated online portal: https://mipp.police.uk/operation/STAFFS25M06-PO1
