Detectives in Bradford have arrested thirteen individuals, twelve men and one woman, as part of an ongoing investigation into non-recent child sexual exploitation.

The arrests were made at various addresses across Bradford during March and April 2025.

The twelve men, aged between 42 and 59, and the woman, aged 60, were taken into custody for questioning in connection with reports of historical sexual abuse.

All thirteen have been interviewed by detectives and subsequently released on bail as enquiries continue.

The investigation was launched following reports from one woman detailing incidents of sexual abuse committed against her during her childhood.

The alleged offences are reported to have occurred predominantly within the Bradford area between 2000 and 2005, when the victim was aged between 13 and 17.

Detective Chief Inspector Vicky Greenbank of Bradford District Police addressed the arrests, stating:

“These arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into non-recent sexual offences against a child in the Bradford area.”

She emphasized the police’s commitment to victims and survivors, adding, “We are focussed on victims and survivors who have bravely come forward to speak to us, trusting us to pursue those responsible and bring them to justice.”

DCI Greenbank further stated, “We hope that investigations like this show we take all reports of sexual abuse seriously and you will be supported by officers with experience of dealing with these kind of offences.”

West Yorkshire Police are urging anyone who wishes to report child sexual abuse and exploitation to come forward. They can be contacted online via http://www.westyorkshire.police.uk/LiveChat or by calling 101. In cases of immediate danger or vulnerability, individuals are urged to call 999.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not released further details regarding the identities of those arrested or the specific nature of the allegations.
