The families of two men who tragically died in a light aircraft crash in Darley Moor on Tuesday, April 8th, have released photos of the pilot and passenger who sadly died.
The victims have been formally named as pilot Edward Browne, 66, and passenger James Litchfield, 64.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, which occurred at approximately 11:30 am.
Police confirmed the identities of the deceased today and shared photographs of Mr. Browne and Mr. Litchfield, expressing their condolences to the bereaved families during this incredibly difficult time.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the collision and are appealing to the public for any information that may assist their inquiries.
In particular, officers are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash. They are also urging anyone who was driving along the A515 near Darley Moor between 11:20 am and 11:40 am on Tuesday to check their dashcam footage for any potential recordings of a light aircraft in the vicinity.
