Emergency services are currently responding to a substantial fire involving scrap cars at a property on Stainton Road in Carlisle.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service is leading a multi-agency effort, with seven fire crews from stations across the north of the county currently on scene.
Due to the scale of the incident and to ensure the safety of the public and allow firefighters to work effectively, Cumbria Police have closed Stainton Road in the vicinity of the fire.
