A man who was the subject of a public appeal yesterday has been apprehended in Burnley and will spend the night in police custody.
The 33-year-old described as having an eye patch was wanted by authorities in connection with several alleged offences.
Lancashire Police confirmed the arrest this evening, stating that he was located and taken into custody in Burnley thanks to the “proactive attempts by officers on Team 4 response.”
He was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, malicious communications, and police assault.
The force had issued a public appeal for information regarding the wanted mans whereabouts yesterday, and they expressed their gratitude to the community for their assistance.
“Thankyou to everyone who shared our appeal,” the police statement read.
The light-hearted tone of the police announcement concluded with the remark that he will now “spend the night in one of our finest cells!”
It is expected that he will be questioned by officers regarding the alleged offences.
