Emergency services acted swiftly last night to rescue an individual who became trapped in mud near The Coppice in Preston.
Two fire engines, dispatched from Wesham and Preston fire stations, arrived at the scene at 20:35 on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025, following reports of a casualty stuck in a muddy area.
Firefighters worked quickly to safely extract the individual from the mud. The nature of the incident and the condition of the casualty are currently unknown.
However, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the rescue operation was successful and the casualty was freed.
Crews were in attendance at the location for approximately fifteen minutes, indicating a rapid and efficient response to the incident.
