Two fire engines from Chorley Fire Station were called to an incident on Parsons Bullough Road in the early hours of this morning, April 7th, 2025, following reports of a road traffic collision and subsequent vehicle fire.
Crews arrived at the scene at approximately 02:04 hours to find a single car that had collided with the stone wall of a reservoir.
The impact of the collision had resulted in the vehicle catching fire.
Firefighters swiftly worked to tackle the blaze, utilizing one hose reel jet and one breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames and ensure the area was safe.
The extent of any injuries sustained by the occupant(s) of the vehicle is currently unknown.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed their presence at the scene for approximately thirty minutes, likely conducting safety checks and ensuring the fire was completely out.
