Emergency services are currently attending an ongoing incident at North Tees Hospital in Stockton-on-Tees, where a man has been reported to be on the roof.
The alarm was raised at approximately 10:10 am this morning. Since then, a significant presence of emergency personnel, including police, fire and rescue services, and ambulance crews, have been observed at the hospital site.
Authorities have confirmed the incident and stated that specialist teams are working collaboratively to ensure the safety of the individual and bring the situation to a peaceful resolution as swiftly as possible.
While details surrounding the circumstances that led to the man being on the roof remain unclear at this time, the focus of the emergency services is understood to be de-escalation and ensuring the man’s well-being.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police released a brief statement confirming the incident:
“We are aware of an incident currently unfolding at North Tees Hospital involving a man on the roof.
