A 20-year-old man from Kirkburton has been remanded in custody and is set to appear before Leeds Crown Court charged with the murder of a 16-year-old boy in Huddersfield.
Alfie Franco, of The Park, Kirkburton, appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court today (Saturday, April 5th) following the fatal stabbing on Ramsden Street, Huddersfield, on Thursday, April 3rd.
He is charged with the murder of Ahmad Mamdouh Al Ibrahim, who police have now formally identified.
Ahmad, aged 16, had recently moved to Huddersfield from the South Wales area.
Franco is scheduled to appear before Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday, April 8th.
Detectives from the Homicide And Major Enquiry Team are continuing their investigation into the fatal stabbing.
They are also providing support to Ahmad Al Ibrahim’s family during this difficult time.
