Lancashire Police responded to a report of a person believed to be carrying a knife on Burholme Place, Ribbleton, earlier this morning.
The incident was reported shortly after 9:00 am on Tuesday, April 2nd, prompting a swift response from local officers.
Upon arrival at the scene, police conducted a thorough search of the area.
However, no individual in possession of a knife was located.
Despite the initial search yielding no immediate findings, Lancashire Police have confirmed that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
They are urging anyone with information that may assist their investigation to come forward.
