Fourth Arrest Made in Moor Park Stabbing Investigation

A fourth individual has been arrested in connection with the serious stabbing incident that occurred near Moor Park on Monday afternoon.

Lancashire Police continue their investigation into the assault, which left two teenage boys injured.

Officers responded to reports of a serious assault on Blackpool Road shortly after 4 pm on March 31st.

Upon arrival, they found two 15-year-old boys suffering from stab wounds. One of the victims sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital for treatment.

The second 15-year-old boy’s injuries were described as not life-threatening.

Initially, police arrested three individuals in connection with the incident.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and affray, a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding and affray, and a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All three remain in custody.

On April 1st, the investigation led to the arrest of a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of conspiracy to commit Section 18 wounding. He is also currently in police custody.

Lancashire Police are continuing to appeal to the public for information related to the incident.

They urge anyone who witnessed the assault or has any relevant details to come forward.

“We are still piecing together the events of Monday afternoon and are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen something that could assist our investigation,” stated a police spokesperson.
