Drone Flight Restriction Imposed Over Aintree During Grand National Festival

A temporary flight restriction zone will be in effect over Aintree during The Randox Grand National Festival 2025, impacting drone operations.

The restrictions are part of a policing operation to ensure safety and security during the event.

* Dates and Times: The airspace restriction will be in place from 7:00 AM on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, to 7:00 PM on Saturday, April 5th, 2025.

* Affected Area: The restriction applies to unmanned aircraft flying below 2,000 feet above sea level within the designated area above Aintree. (See provided image for the specific area).

* Restrictions: It will be an offence for any unmanned aircraft to fly within the restricted zone without explicit permission from Merseyside Police.

* Consequences: Drone users violating the restrictions may face prosecution, and their equipment could be seized.
