Lelisa Mohamed, 28, of Mossfield Close, Bury, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of a knife in a public place following an incident on Maxwell Street.
The charges relate to an incident on Saturday, March 29, 2025, where it was reported that a man attended an address on Maxwell Street and discharged a firearm. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Mohamed (DOB: 01/01/1997) appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Monday, March 31, 2025.
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court again on Monday, May 5, 2025.
Greater Manchester Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
