A joint operation between the Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Roads Policing Team resulted in the seizure of ten illegally driven e-bikes, scooters, and motorcycles last Friday, March 28th, sending a strong message to those engaging in dangerous and antisocial behaviour.

The operation, which utilized air support, targeted individuals driving off-road and electric vehicles illegally and antisocially around the Blackburn area.

Officers pursued and seized the vehicles, arresting and prosecuting numerous drivers for a range of driving offences.

One individual, who attempted to resist arrest, was apprehended with the assistance of the police dog unit.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the consequences faced by those who defy law enforcement.

“This operation sends a clear message to riders that this behaviour is dangerous, unacceptable, and will not be tolerated,” stated a spokesperson for the Blackburn Police.

“We are committed to ensuring the safety of our community and will continue to take action against those who disregard the law.”

The police are urging the public to continue providing information and support in their efforts to combat this issue.
