Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious road traffic collision on Meadow Lane, Lathom, on March 27th, 2025.
Emergency services responded to the incident at approximately 3:37 PM after reports that a Suzuki Splash had left the road and entered a ditch.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the vehicle and found the driver, a woman in her 80s, suffering from serious injuries.
She was promptly transported to hospital for treatment.
“Our thoughts first and foremost are with the driver as she undergoes treatment in hospital,” a police spokesperson stated.
The incident occurred in a rural area, prompting police to seek further information regarding the circumstances surrounding the crash.
“We are trying to find out why the car left the carriageway and when it happened,” the spokesperson added.
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or possesses dashcam footage from the Meadow Lane area to come forward.
