Jade Parker, 37, of Hungerford Road, Crewe, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to perverting the course of justice, harassment, and stalking.

The sentencing, which took place on Wednesday, March 26th, followed Parker’s admission of making false assault allegations against her former partner.

The court heard that between December 16th, 2023, and February 16th, 2024, Parker made two fabricated claims of assault against the man, leading to his arrest on both occasions.

Subsequent investigations by Cheshire Constabulary revealed that the man was not even present at the locations where the alleged assaults were said to have occurred.

Parker was arrested following the discovery of her false claims, which had a profound impact on the victim’s life. The man suffered significant distress, including periods of detention in custody, and was forced to take extensive measures to protect himself from further false accusations, such as purchasing dashcam and doorbell cameras.

Sergeant Keith Graham of Cheshire Constabulary condemned Parker’s actions, stating,

“Parker’s actions had a huge impact on this man, his work life and his family. Not only was he arrested and kept in a cell for hours on end, he was made to feel unsafe, having to buy dashcam and doorbell cameras to protect himself from further false accusations.”

He further emphasised the seriousness with which domestic violence allegations are treated, highlighting that they are thoroughly investigated to safeguard genuine victims.

“Allegations of domestic violence are treated extremely seriously and are investigated robustly in order to protect real victims of abuse from further harm.

Using this this type of crime as a weapon is unforgivable,” Sgt. Graham said.

The police hope that the severity of the sentence will serve as a stark reminder of the consequences of such deceitful actions and that Parker now fully comprehends the devastating impact her behaviour had on the victim.
