Blackburn fire crews responded to an early morning fire at a terraced property in Audley Range on Thursday, March 27th, 2025.
At 06:03 hours, two fire engines from Blackburn Fire Station were dispatched to the scene following reports of a fire within the front room of the residential property.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a developing fire that required immediate action.
Utilizing two breathing apparatus for protection against smoke and fumes, and one hose reel to deliver a powerful jet of water, the firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze.
The rapid response and efficient firefighting tactics prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the property and neighbouring residences.
Crews remained at the scene for a total of four hours and five minutes, ensuring the fire was completely extinguished and carrying out thorough checks to prevent any reignition.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service urges residents to ensure they have working smoke alarms installed and to practice fire safety measures to prevent such incidents.
