Adam Reeves, 31, has admitted to inflicting grievous bodily harm on his 8-week-old boy leaving the infant with a catalogue of devastating injuries.

The shocking plea was entered at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday, March 18th.

The court heard harrowing details of the abuse, revealing that on Christmas Eve 2021, Reeves contacted the baby’s mother, who was at work, expressing concern that the infant was “spaced out” and refusing milk. He then called 111 and rushed the child to Leighton Hospital, where medical staff discovered the extent of the baby’s trauma.

Doctors found the infant had suffered multiple fractured ribs, a fractured pelvis, and extensive bruising across his tiny body.

The severity of the injuries triggered an immediate investigation, leading to Reeves’ arrest and subsequent charge of grievous bodily harm.

Detective Constable Stacey Thompson expressed the profound impact of the case, stating,

“This has been an extremely difficult and emotional case for all involved… What Reeves did is unimaginable, and he is now facing the consequences of his actions behind bars.”

The young victim’s family is left to grapple with the aftermath of this brutal betrayal, with authorities hoping the conviction will provide some measure of closure.

Reeves, of Mayfield Mews, Crewe, is scheduled to be sentenced at Chester Crown Court on Friday, May 2nd.
