A driver in Lancashire found himself in a precarious situation after crashing their BMW into a ditch during a late-night incident.
Police responding to the scene reportedly quipped, “You can’t park there, mate,” highlighting the unusual parking predicament.
The incident occurred in the dark hours of Tuesday night in Lancashire.
Upon arrival, Lancs Police Specialist Ops officers discovered the vehicle submerged in a ditch, with the driver present at the scene.
Following standard procedure, the driver was subjected to a roadside breath test.
This test yielded a positive result, indicating the driver was over the legal alcohol limit.
Consequently, the individual was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The driver was taken into custody for further questioning and processing.
The vehicle was recovered from the ditch, and arrangements were made for its removal.
The driver’s name has not been released at this time.
Lancashire Constabulary continues to urge motorists to avoid driving after consuming alcohol and to plan alternative transportation.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
