West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after an 84-year-old woman tragically died following a single-vehicle collision on the A58 Burdock Way in Halifax.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:50 PM on Saturday, March 22nd, when a silver Volkswagen Golf collided with a barrier on the A58, travelling away from Halifax towards Shibden.
The 84-year-old woman, a passenger in the vehicle, sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital. Sadly, she passed away on Sunday, March 24th.
The driver of the Golf, also in his 80s, suffered injuries and received hospital treatment.
Officers from the Major Collision Enquiry Team are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
They are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw the vehicle prior to the crash, to come forward.
In particular, police are keen to hear from drivers who may have dashcam footage that could assist with their enquiries.
