Cumbria Constabulary is appealing for witnesses following a fatal two-vehicle collision on the A7 between Westlinton and Blackford.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 20th, 2025, involved a Peugeot 208 and a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV).
Sadly, the driver of the Peugeot 208, identified as 21-year-old Ella Bush from Carlisle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the HGV sustained no injuries.
Emergency services attended the location, and the road was closed for several hours while investigations were carried out.
Police are now seeking any information that may assist in determining the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam footage of the vehicles involved prior to the collision, to come forward.
