A 75-year-old man has tragically died in hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Lytham last month.
Lancashire Police were called to Preston Road at 12:03 pm on February 14th after reports of a road traffic collision.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a Ford Fiesta had collided with a traffic bollard.
The driver of the vehicle, a 75-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was immediately transported to hospital for treatment.
Despite medical efforts, the man sadly passed away in hospital on March 12th.
“Our thoughts are very much with his family and loved ones at this distressing time,” a spokesperson for Lancashire Police said.
Authorities are now appealing for any witnesses to the incident, or anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area, to come forward.
