Doncaster College Evacuated Following Altercation-Four Detained

Doncaster College was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after reports of an altercation involving a group of males, leading to the detention of four individuals by South Yorkshire Police.

Police responded to a call at 12:37 PM regarding an incident at the college on Chappell Drive. Upon arrival, officers detained four males involved in the altercation.

“Officers have been deployed to Doncaster College where they have detained four males following reports of an altercation between a group of males,” a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police stated.

According to police reports, one person sustained a minor hand injury during the incident. No other injuries have been reported at this time.

As a precautionary measure, the college was fully evacuated to allow officers to conduct a thorough search of the premises.

This search is being carried out to ensure the safety of all staff and students before they are permitted to return.

“The college has been evacuated as a precaution to allow for a full search of the site to ensure it is safe before any staff or students return,” the police statement confirmed.

Officers remain at the scene as they continue to conduct further inquiries into the incident.

Their presence also aims to provide reassurance to the college community and the surrounding area.

South Yorkshire Police have assured the public that they will release further updates as more information becomes available.

The college has yet to release a statement.
