Callum Denley, a 20-year-old Wiltshire Police officer, has been summonsed to court to face multiple charges related to indecent and prohibited images, including child pornography.
The charges include making indecent images of children, spanning categories A, B, and C, possession of an extreme pornographic image, and possession of a prohibited image of a child.
Denley, who resided in Malmesbury, was suspended from his police duties immediately upon Wiltshire Police becoming aware of the allegations.
His resignation, which he had previously submitted, took effect today, March 18th.
The charges against Denley are as follows:
* Multiple counts of making indecent images of children, categorized as A, B, and C.
* Possession of an extreme pornographic image.
* Possession of a prohibited image of a child.
He is scheduled to appear in court on April 3rd.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police stated,
“He was suspended from police duty immediately after Wiltshire Police became aware of the matters for which he has today been charged.
As this is an active investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.”
The case is now proceeding through the judicial system.
