Bolton town centre saw a significant emergency response today after a man was reported to be on the roof of a building on Cannon Street.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were called to the scene at approximately 11:45 am, with emergency services swiftly attending.

A cordon was established around the area to ensure public safety and to allow responders to manage the situation.

“At around 11.45am today, we were called to reports of a man on the roof of a building on Cannon Street, in Bolton,” a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police stated.

“Emergency services are in attendance and a cordon is currently in place.”
