A 61-year-old man has been charged with three counts of attempted burglary following reports of suspicious activity in the Bridgemill Road area of Blackburn.
On March 12, 2025, Lancashire Constabulary responded to calls concerning a man attempting to open door handles of residential properties.
Following immediate enquiries, officers located and arrested a suspect the same day.
Derrick Isherwood, 61, of no fixed address, has been charged with three counts of attempted burglary dwelling with intent to steal.
He has been remanded on conditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court on May 30, 2025.
The arrest and charging of Isherwood comes as part of Operation Defender, Lancashire Constabulary’s ongoing initiative to tackle burglary and related offences.
