A man in his 40s is recovering in hospital after a serious assault on Derby Street in the early hours of Saturday, March 15th.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident by the ambulance service shortly after 1:30 a.m. Police officers arrived at the scene and found the man with serious injuries.
He was promptly transported to hospital for treatment.
While the injuries sustained are serious, authorities have confirmed they are not life-threatening.
Lancashire Constabulary has launched an investigation into the assault.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has any information that could assist with their enquiries, to come forward.
Two men and a woman were later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
A 42-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man from Poulton-le-Fylde and a 23-year-old man from Blackpool remain in custody, and enquiries are ongoing.
