A violent incident at a William Hill bookmakers in Leyland has resulted in two men being hospitalised with stab wounds, and a man charged with intent to wound.
Police were called to the scene at the Hough Lane branch at 6:33 PM on Friday, March 14th, following reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, officers found two men, both in their 30s, suffering from stab injuries.
“Our officers attended and found that two men in their 30s had suffered stab injuries,” a police spokesperson confirmed.
“They were both taken to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.”
A 24-year-old man was apprehended at the scene.
Following an investigation and consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Colm Bloomfield, 24, of Grange Drive, Hoghton, has been charged with two offences of Section 18 wounding with intent.
Bloomfield has been remanded in custody and appeared before Preston Magistrates Court today.
The police have not released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident or the relationship between the individuals involved.
The investigation is ongoing.
