Bradley Hollis Named as Victim in Sheffield Murder; Man Charged

A 44-year-old man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of 35-year-old Bradley Hollis in Sheffield.

Police were called to a property on Barlow Drive at approximately 3:00 AM on Sunday, March 16th, 2025, after receiving reports from the ambulance service of a man found with suspected stab wounds.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, Mr. Hollis was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following formal identification, the victim was identified as Bradley Hollis.

His family is being supported by specially trained officers and have requested privacy during this difficult time.

Michael James, 44, of Barlow Drive, Sheffield, has been arrested and subsequently charged with murder in connection with the incident.

He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025.

A police scene remains in place at Barlow Drive as officers continue their investigations.

A separate scene on Rivelin Valley Road has been lifted.

Detective Chief Inspector Thomas Woodward, the Senior Investigating Officer, addressed the community, stating,

“We understand that news of this incident will have caused understandable concern in the local community and I want to reassure residents that there will be additional police patrols in the area over the coming days.

These patrols will be conducted by officers from your local Neighbourhood Policing Team.

If you see them while they are patrolling and you have any questions or queries, please do approach them and speak to them as they are there to help you and keep you safe.”

Police are appealing for anyone with information that may assist their investigation to come forward.
