Urgent Appeal: Concerns Grow for Missing 50-Year-Old James Pilkington

Police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating 50-year-old James Pilkington, who has gone missing from his home in Skelmersdale.

Concerns are growing for his welfare.

James was last seen in the Chapel House area of Skelmersdale at approximately 12:40 am on Saturday, March 15th, 2025.

He is described as a white male, standing at 5ft 9in tall, with a large build and dark, short shaved hair.

Distinctive features include tattoos of a Jack Russell with the name “Peggy” on his left arm and a German Shepherd on his right arm.

At the time of his disappearance, James was wearing a grey jacket, dark-coloured joggers, trainers, and glasses.

He was also carrying a beige holdall.

Authorities believe James has links to both the Appley Bridge and Skelmersdale areas.

“We are increasingly concerned for James’ well-being and are urging anyone with information to come forward,” stated a spokesperson for the local police.

“Any piece of information, no matter how small, could be crucial in locating him.”

Police are asking anyone who has seen James or has information regarding his whereabouts to contact them immediately.
