Hull Family Mourns Loss of Peter Bartle in Holderness Road Collision

A family in Hull is grieving the loss of 63-year-old Peter Bartle, who tragically died in a collision on Holderness Road on Friday, March 7th.

Mr. Bartle and his wife, Sarah, were crossing Holderness Road near the junction of Clarence Street and Dansom Lane South when they were struck by a grey BMW X5 traveling eastbound.

Despite the rapid response and efforts of emergency services, Peter Bartle succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

In a heartfelt tribute, Mr. Bartle’s family expressed their profound shock and devastation.

“Words cannot describe how utterly shocked and devastated we all are,” they stated. “Our dad Pete lit up every room he walked into, he put smiles on everyone’s faces and had the biggest heart possible.”

The family emphasized the immense void left by his passing. “To be taken from us the way he has been is just the hardest thing to try and understand. He was absolutely adored by all of his family and friends, and we are going to be lost without him.”

The incident has deeply affected the local community, with many expressing their condolences to the Bartle family.

Humberside Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

They have asked any witnesses who have not yet come forward, or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident, to contact them on their non emergency number.
