A 24-year-old man has been released under investigation after being identified in connection with a robbery that occurred in Preston earlier this month.
The development follows a public appeal for information by Lancashire Constabulary.
The incident, which took place on March 3rd at approximately 9:50 PM, involved a woman being assaulted and having money stolen from her.
In the wake of the robbery, police released an appeal seeking to identify a man believed to be connected to the crime.
“Following that appeal a 24-year-old man was identified and spoken to and has now been released under investigation,” a police spokesperson confirmed.
Lancashire Constabulary expressed their gratitude to the public for their assistance in the investigation.
“Many thanks to everyone who helped with our original appeal,” the spokesperson stated.
The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with further information is encouraged to contact Lancashire Constabulary.
