Yeadon has been plunged into mourning following the tragic death of 76-year-old Pauline Millward, who was fatally injured in a collision on a private driveway on Thursday afternoon.
Mrs. Millward, a beloved resident of Yeadon, was struck by a Hyundai Tucson vehicle on a driveway off Lea Mill Park Drive at approximately 2:40 PM. The incident occurred shortly after she had exited the same vehicle.
West Yorkshire Police have identified Mrs. Millward and her family has released a heartfelt tribute, accompanied by a photograph of her.
“Pauline was a wonderful woman,” the family said in a statement.
“She was an amazing mother, wife, mother-in-law, grandmother and sister who would have done anything for her family.
She will be missed every day by all who knew her. At this time we would ask for some privacy as a family.”
The Major Collision Enquiry Team (MCET) is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and share any information they may have.
The incident has deeply saddened the local community, with many expressing their condolences to the Millward family.
