Suspected Firearms Discharge in Middleton Prompts Police Investigation

Police are investigating a suspected firearms discharge that occurred on Green Lane, Middleton, shortly before 10pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of a potential firearms incident. Upon arrival, they confirmed that no one had sustained any injuries.

“Shortly before 10pm on Wednesday, March 12 2025, we were called to reports of a suspected firearms discharge on Green Lane, in Middleton,” a police spokesperson stated. “Police arrived, and no one was injured at the scene.”

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.

Detectives are appealing to the public for any information that may assist their enquiries.

Residents who witnessed the incident, or who may have any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage, are urged to come forward.
