Manchester Shooting Incident Under Investigation; No Injuries Reported

Detectives are investigating a suspected firearms discharge that occurred at a residential property on Morville Road in Manchester last night, March 10, 2025.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to the scene at approximately 10:15 PM following reports of a potential shooting.

Upon arrival, officers established a scene and commenced investigations.

A spokesperson for GMP confirmed that, thankfully, no injuries were sustained during the incident.

“At 10.15pm yesterday evening (March 10, 2025) we were called to reports of a suspected firearms discharge at a property on Morville Road in Manchester,” they stated. “Thankfully no injuries were sustained.”

Authorities believe the incident was a targeted attack and have reassured the public that there is no wider risk to the community.

“At this time, detectives believe this was a targeted attack and there is no risk to the wider public,” the spokesperson added.

As of this morning, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

A police scene remains in place on Morville Road as forensic officers and detectives continue to gather evidence and conduct enquiries.

Residents in the area may notice an increased police presence as officers conduct door-to-door enquiries and search for potential witnesses.

GMP are appealing for anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.

Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident, or who has any relevant information, is urged to contact Greater Manchester Police on 101.

The investigation is ongoing.
