A shocking collision outside Abbey Village School this morning saw a car flip onto its roof, leaving onlookers fearing the worst.
Miraculously, a woman and two children escaped serious injury, though the incident caused significant traffic disruption and a temporary road closure.
The incident occurred on Bolton Road, a busy thoroughfare during the morning school run, sending ripples of concern through the local community.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene, with the vehicle overturned and emergency services rushing to the scene.
“It was terrifying,” said one parent who witnessed the aftermath. “Seeing the car like that, you just think the worst. My first thought was for the children.”
Emergency responders confirmed that a woman and two children were inside the vehicle at the time of the collision. While the woman received treatment at the scene for minor injuries, the children were incredibly fortunate to escape without serious harm.
