Man Charged After Alleged Bladed Weapon Incident in St Annes

A man has been charged following an incident on St David’s Road South, St Annes, on Sunday morning, March 9th, where he allegedly approached a member of the public with a bladed item.

Lancashire Police received a report of the incident and responded swiftly, locating and arresting the individual.

“We received a report of a male with a bladed item approaching a member of the public on St David’s Road South, St Annes,” a spokesperson for Lancashire Police confirmed.

“Officers acted quickly to locate and apprehend the suspect.”

The arrested male has since been charged in connection with the incident.

Police have not released further details regarding the identity of the charged individual or the specifics of the alleged offence at this time.

The incident caused concern among residents in the St Annes area. Local residents expressed relief that the police acted promptly.
