A 22-year-old man has been charged with drug offences following a proactive operation by Preston Task Force in the Ingol area.
The arrest comes as a direct response to concerns raised by local residents regarding drug dealing in the community.
On Saturday, March 8th, 2025, plainclothes officers from Preston Task Force conducted surveillance in the vicinity of Redcar Avenue and Whitby Avenue in Ingol.
During their operation, officers witnessed a man engaging in what they believed to be a street-level drug transaction.
Following a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act, officers recovered cash and a quantity of crack cocaine. The suspect was subsequently arrested.
After being interviewed by Preston CID Team 2 and following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Nathaniel Lawrenson, 22, of Redcar Avenue, Ingol, was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.
He was remanded in custody and appeared before Preston Magistrates Court.
This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of Preston Task Force to combat drug-related crime and address community concerns.
The operation is part of a broader strategy to target individuals and gangs involved in organized crime, with a focus on bringing offenders to justice and seizing their assets.
