Emergency services responded to a fire within a flat on Church Street, Accrington, on Sunday afternoon.
Two fire engines, one from Hyndburn and another from Rawtenstall, arrived on the scene at 16:32 hours to tackle the blaze.
Firefighters, equipped with two breathing apparatus, entered the affected flat and used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
A positive pressure ventilation fan was also employed to clear smoke from the building.
Crews worked diligently to ensure the fire was completely extinguished and the area was safe.
They remained at the scene for approximately one and a half hours, conducting thorough checks and ensuring no further risks were present.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
