A car was severely damaged after catching fire in Lostock Hall this afternoon, with emergency services confirming no occupants were injured.
Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service responded to reports of a vehicle fire on Greenfield Drive at approximately 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 9th.
Witnesses reported that the vehicle had initially caught fire on Coote Lane, a nearby road, before turning onto Greenfield Drive.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the car engulfed in flames. Crews worked quickly to extinguish the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby properties.
The vehicle sustained significant damage in the incident.
Residents in the area reported seeing plumes of smoke and hearing sirens as emergency services arrived on the scene.
The incident caused some local traffic disruption while firefighters dealt with the blaze.
