Blackpool Drug Deaths: Triple Tragedy Sparks Urgent Warning

Blackpool has been rocked by the tragic deaths of two men and one woman, with Lancashire Constabulary issuing an urgent warning to drug users in the area.

Police suspect the deaths are drug-related and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incidents.

Detective Inspector Isobel Garratt of Blackpool Police expressed deep concern, stating, “An investigation is underway following the deaths of two men and one woman in Blackpool; these deaths are suspected to be drugs related.”

In connection with the investigation, a 31-year-old man from Blackpool has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug. He has since been released on bail while the investigation continues.

“Our advice would be for users to seek immediate medical attention if they notice any different symptoms or start to feel unwell,” Detective Inspector Garratt emphasized.

“There is no safe way of taking drugs, and no way of knowing exactly what you are putting into your body and whether it is safe.”

The police are urging individuals who use drugs to be extremely cautious and to prioritize their health.

The unpredictability of illicit substances poses a significant risk, and even experienced users can fall victim to unexpected reactions or potent combinations.

To raise awareness about the dangers of drug use and provide support, Lancashire Constabulary is directing individuals to resources such as Talk to Frank.

The service offers confidential advice and information about drugs and their effects. Individuals can contact Talk to Frank at 0300 123 6600.

Lancashire Constabulary has reiterated its commitment to tackling drug-related crime within the county.

They are encouraging members of the public to come forward with any information about illegal drug activity.

“We would urge people who have information about illegal drug related activity to come forward and contact us on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111,” a police spokesperson said.

The community is urged to be vigilant and to support efforts to prevent further drug-related tragedies.
