Blackpool residents are advised to seek alternative routes as Devonshire Road has been closed in both directions following a road traffic collision this evening.
The incident occurred near the Burton Foods Factory, at the junctions of Claremont Road and Mansfield Road.
Emergency services are currently on the scene assessing the situation, and it is anticipated that the road closure will remain in place for a significant period.
“We want to update you and let you know that Devonshire Road is currently closed at the junctions of Claremont Road and Mansfield Road due to a road traffic collision outside Burton Foods Factory,” stated a local authority announcement.
“We anticipate that the road will be closed for some time, whilst we assess the situation.”
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and plan their journeys accordingly, allowing for extra travel time. Diversions are in place, but drivers are advised to be cautious and patient as traffic build-up is expected.
