A 30-year-old man from Doncaster is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs following a police stop on the M55.
Lancashire Police officers pulled over a Peugeot 508 travelling westbound on the motorway as it approached junction 3 near Kirkham at 4:04 pm yesterday, Thursday, March 6th.
A search of the vehicle was conducted under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, which resulted in the discovery of a significant quantity of cannabis.
The driver was immediately arrested and is currently being held in custody while investigations continue.
Lancashire Police have not released further details regarding the exact quantity of cannabis seized.
