Greater Manchester Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the death of a 55-year-old man after a collision on the M60 in Tameside.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 11th, at approximately 10:25 am on the clockwise exit slip road at Junction 24 (Denton Island).
Two vehicles were stationary at traffic lights when a third vehicle collided with the rear of one of them, causing a chain reaction.
According to police reports, all vehicles involved stopped at the scene, and no arrests were made at the time.
Tragically, several days later, on February 27th, the 55-year-old driver of the vehicle that initiated the collision was found deceased at his home.
Officers are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the initial collision and the subsequent death of the man to determine the exact cause.
“We are currently working to understand the full sequence of events that led to this tragic outcome,” said a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police.
“We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision on February 11th, or who may have dashcam footage of the incident, to come forward.”
